AI Engineer

## About the Role RBC Capital seeks an AI Engineer to develop sophisticated document processing and understanding capabilities for banking applications. This role combines machine learning expertise with financial domain knowledge to create production-grade AI systems that can intelligently ingest and analyze unstructured financial data at scale. ## Responsibilities - Design and implement end-to-end AI pipelines for document processing (contracts, emails, financial reports) - Optimize LLM performance through retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), prompt engineering, and fine-tuning techniques - Develop modular, scalable AI workflows tailored to complex banking use cases - Integrate AI models with RBC's data ecosystems, APIs, databases, and enterprise systems - Build and maintain NLP solutions for understanding unstructured financial data - Collaborate with data engineering and infrastructure teams to deploy models in cloud environments ## Requirements - 3+ years of Python development experience - Strong expertise with LLM frameworks (LangChain, OpenAI API) and NLP tools - Demonstrated experience building and optimizing RAG systems - Proficiency in data engineering concepts and practices - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) - Strong understanding of API integration, database design, and enterprise system architecture - Ability to design scalable solutions for complex banking workflows
