Contract Data Research & Visualization Specialist

## About the Role General Catalyst, a global venture capital firm with a portfolio spanning AI, fintech, and technology, is seeking a Contract Data Research & Visualization Specialist to support its investment teams. You will build data pipelines, web scraping systems, and investment research dashboards that help the firm identify and analyze market opportunities. ## Responsibilities - Build and maintain web scraping systems using BeautifulSoup, Selenium, and Scrapy to collect investment research data - Perform manual data collection, cleaning, and validation for investment analysis - Design and build dashboards and visualizations for investment teams using Tableau, Power BI, Dash, or Streamlit - Apply data science techniques to identify patterns and insights across investment data - Collaborate with investment professionals to translate research needs into data products - Maintain thorough documentation of data sources and methodologies ## Requirements - 3+ years of Python experience - 3+ years of experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Dash, or Streamlit) - Web scraping experience and familiarity with data privacy regulations - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field - Investment research or financial services experience preferred - Must be available 9am–5pm Pacific Mon–Fri; 15–40 hours/week
