Machine Learning Engineer, Payments ML Accelerator

## About the Role Stripe's Payments ML Accelerator team builds deep learning models tackling core payment challenges — from fraud detection to authorization optimization. You will work on models that process billions of transactions and directly impact Stripe's revenue and user trust. ## Responsibilities - Build and deploy deep learning models for fraud detection, authorization optimization, and payment intelligence - Develop end-to-end ML pipelines from data processing to production serving - Optimize model performance for real-time inference at massive scale - Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate ML capabilities into product features - Research and implement state-of-the-art ML techniques for payments ## Requirements - 7+ years of end-to-end ML development experience - Expert proficiency in Python, with experience in Scala or Spark - Deep expertise in deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) - Experience building production ML systems at scale - Strong foundation in statistics and optimization
