NLP Engineer

## About the Role Point72 is seeking an NLP Engineer to join its quant research team, focusing on developing modern NLP solutions including Large Language Models, AI agents, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems. This role is at the forefront of applying cutting-edge NLP methods to investment research and decision-making. ## Responsibilities - Design and develop LLM-based solutions and AI agents for financial analysis - Explore and integrate rich internal and external textual datasets into machine learning pipelines - Build end-to-end GenAI solutions leveraging both proprietary internal models and external APIs - Develop and validate financial signals from raw data processing through performance testing - Apply modern NLP techniques to extract actionable insights from alternative data sources - Collaborate with quant researchers to translate NLP outputs into investment strategies ## Requirements - Strong proficiency in Python and SQL - Solid understanding of modern NLP techniques and architectures (transformers, LLMs, embeddings) - Experience with RAG systems, prompt engineering, or similar GenAI applications - Software engineering principles and best practices - Demonstrated ability to work with large datasets and build production-quality systems - Knowledge of or interest in financial markets and investment processes - Experience with financial NLP applications preferred
