## About the Role OpenAI's Infrastructure Strategy team ensures the global compute footprint is financially sound, operationally scalable, and strategically positioned for the path to superintelligence. As Strategic Finance Compute Lead, you will provide finance leadership for compute and infrastructure spend while shaping long-term compute strategy. ## Responsibilities - Develop and own financial models across all compute infrastructure elements (GPU, CPU, storage, networking) - Lead strategic financial analysis for long-term capacity initiatives with engineering teams - Maintain expertise on compute contract terms and pricing optimization - Partner with FP&A teams to align compute strategy with broader business goals - Create executive and board-level presentations on infrastructure economics - Monitor market trends and competitive dynamics in AI compute ## Requirements - 5+ years in strategic finance, private equity, investment banking, or business development - 3+ years finance operating experience at high-growth tech companies - Experience partnering with engineering teams on financial decision-making - Strong understanding of cloud technology and compute infrastructure - Exceptional analytical and financial modeling skills - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
