Associate or Senior Associate, AI

## About the Role Bessemer Venture Partners, a leading venture capital firm, is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate to focus on AI investments. You will join the investment team to develop AI investment theses, source promising founders, and lead due diligence across the AI ecosystem. This role reports to Talia Goldberg and offers shadow carry and co-investment opportunities. ## Responsibilities - Develop and refine AI investment roadmaps and theses to guide firm strategy - Source and build relationships with promising AI founders, teams, and startups - Lead financial analysis and due diligence on customers, products, and technology at AI companies - Prepare investment recommendations and support partnership-level decision making - Assist portfolio companies with introductions, strategic advice, hiring, and resources - Stay current on AI/ML technology trends and the competitive landscape ## Requirements - 2–4+ years professional experience in startup operating roles, as a founder, scientist, or investor - Technical background in computer science, mathematics, machine learning, or engineering - AI native — constantly using and experimenting with cutting-edge AI products - Strong relationship-building skills with founders and entrepreneurs - Self-driven with a commercial mindset; Bay Area residency required - No prior investing experience required
